Main challenges:

§The height of sugarcane is so high that it’s hard to deliver the pesticide till the bottom of the sugar cane.

Herbicide phytotoxicity problem.

ØBefore spraying, the weeds in the field were mainly crabgrass, cyperus rotundus and bermudagrass, which mainly grew in the ridges.

Ø9 days after spraying by drone, the death rate of the main weeds crabgrass, gooseberry and cyperus rotundus in the sugarcane field were all higher than 90%.

Control effect of main weeds in sugarcane field

9 days after application of pesticide, the main weeds in the sugarcane field were almost all died; the stems and leaves of the sugarcane grew normally without obvious phytotoxicity.
